[MISSION] – Renovation of the Superstructures on the Saint-Cloud Bridge ⚒ 🌉
Our Civil Structures Department was called upon by the EPI 78-92 (Interdepartmental Public Establishment of Yvelines and Hauts-de-Seine) to carry out a project focused on the renovation of the superstructures (roadway, sidewalks, expansion joints, and concrete barriers) on the Saint-Cloud Bridge—an iconic structure that spans the Seine and carries the RD 907 over several roadways in Saint-Cloud. 🚧
NextRoad, with its recognized expertise, is in charge of supervising the works carried out by Eurovia, and also provides assistance to the project owner (AMO), particularly concerning the road joints and the waterproofing of the structure. 🤝
⏱ The teams on site are currently focusing on operations above the bridge deck, while a second phase scheduled for 2025 will address work underneath the structure, specifically the refurbishment of the metallic beam support systems.
The works involve the complete renovation of the superstructures and roadway, including:
Removal of the existing DBA (Double Adhered Concrete barrier),
Removal of the roadway and sidewalk surface layers,
Removal of existing waterproofing,
Removal and repair of damaged sidewalk slabs,
Removal of existing roadway and sidewalk expansion joints,
Surface preparation and installation of new waterproofing,
Installation of new expansion joints,
Laying of new pavement layers,
Installation of new DBA and reinstatement of all permanent signage and road markings using hot-applied coating.
