[MISSION] – Pavement Assessment and Diagnosis on the Island of Beauty 🏝

NextRoad has been entrusted with the assessment and diagnosis of road pavements in the historic center of the beautiful municipality of Corte, in Corsica.

🔎🚧 Pavement assessment and diagnosis are processes for evaluating the condition of roads. They enable the detection of potential issues such as cracks, deformations, or excessive wear of the pavement. Next comes the analysis of the origins of these deteriorations (often aging infrastructure) and finally the definition of an appropriate maintenance policy.

1️⃣ Assessment work using the Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD), a device measuring pavement bearing capacity, was conducted to gather data on the pavement condition.

2️⃣ To complement the process, coring tests were performed, and various laboratory tests will follow.

3️⃣ Once the data is collected, it’s time for diagnosis by our experts who analyze the data, identify areas with deficiencies, and recommend actions to ensure road safety and durability.
