[MISSION] – Work on the Sioule Viaduct on the A89 motorway
On Wednesday April 10, our Ouvrages d’Art department worked on behalf of COLAS in Bromont-Lamothe, on the Sioule Viaduct, a beautiful structure measuring 991m in length and 150m in height, located on Highway 89 at PR 333+050.
🎯 The technical objective of this assignment was to repair the longrines, the horizontal concrete beams that support the cross-sections of the structure and act as supports for the BN4s, the Viaduct’s metal safety barriers.
To achieve this, our experts identified and assessed the protective coatings on the stringers, going through several stages :
▪On-site expertise and sampling.
▪ Data collection from ASF (Autoroutes du Sud de la France).
▪Laboratory analysis of samples.
▪Compilation of results in an expert report.
These actions contribute to ensuring the viaduct’s durability and safety.
