[MISSION] – Night-time roadworks on the RN 149 🌃✨
On behalf of the DIR Centre-Ouest, our Centre-Ouest agency was commissioned from the evening of May 27 to the morning of May 29 to carry out an external inspection of the work carried out by Entreprise CHARIER on the RN 149, with LRM Laboratoire Route et Matériaux as its laboratory. 🚧
This project, carried out in Chalandray (86) between PR 24+850 and PR 26+635, consists in repairing the wearing course over the entire width of the roadway, work carried out at night, under the stars and under total detour. 🌠
In a proactive approach, DIRCO now favors, the use of two pavers during resurfacing works, thus avoiding the application of asphalt under alternating traffic as much as possible.
By allowing asphalt to be laid simultaneously on several lanes of the roadway, this method considerably reduces the risk of future defects and the creation of cold joints between strips of asphalt, this approach aims to guarantee better pavement durability and prevent the formation of cracks in the long term, thus ensuring the safety and comfort of road users. 🚗

– Quality control of aggregates, asphalt aggregates and bitumen used in asphalt mixes.
– Daily monitoring of production stages
– Asphalt mix laying with Pave Tracker density checks and PMT (Mean Macrotexture Depth) measurements.
