ASTRA and NextBike in the spotlight in the Nièvre department! 🌟🤞
The NextRoad team recently delivered a detailed presentation to the Nièvre Department. Our teams travelled to the municipality of Varrennes-Vauzelles (58) to showcase two flagship pieces of equipment from the Pavement Assessment division: ASTRA and NextBike. 🚛🚴♂️
This event took place in the presence of department representatives as well as Le Journal du Centre. 📰
🎯 The objective of this session was to demonstrate the advanced capabilities of both systems and their major contribution to the assessment and maintenance of road infrastructure and greenways.
➡ ASTRA is an innovative system capable of collecting, in a single pass, all the data required to analyse road conditions. It measures distance, longitudinal evenness, macrotexture, transverse evenness, and much more, providing a precise and detailed assessment of road infrastructure.
➡ NextBike, meanwhile, is a bicycle equipped with sensors and GPS systems to carry out detailed surveys of greenways. It captures images and collects data on defects and assets along cycle paths, making it possible to assess their condition and maintenance needs.
Combined, these two systems provide a comprehensive assessment of the network, covering both roads and greenways! 🛣
